Archana Hosangadi, a 51-year-old bank manager from Bangalore, completed a trek in Dayara Bugyal in Uttarakhand, located at over 11,820 feet in June 2022. Archana was among the eight cancer survivors who were part of the trek. She was diagnosed at the age of 48, prior to which she led an active life and had opted for a breast examination upon hearing the story of a breast cancer survivor.
Archana recalls wanting to give up several times while she was being treated for breast cancer. “But my family stood beside me like a pillar, constantly encouraging me and boosting my morale,” she tells Happiest Health.
